NTSB

The NTSB (National Television Standards Board) is required to rate all television content within the nation. The content owner can recommend a rating based on what they fill is best for their content, but in the end, it is up to the NTSB to make a final decision on what rating certain content receives. Each rating will also have a color associated. This color will display as the background for the shows name in any TV guides. In Kaldus, Ka-Tel will be responsible for providing the channel guide, but Ka-Tel does not have the power to rate content. Content is rated as follows:

G: General Audience (Green)

This is intended for anyone and everyone. While many G shows might not be the taste of older people, the G rating will likely be appropriate for anyone to view. Such examples of such shows will be educational shows, or those with non-harmful fantasy shows. G content can be displayed on television at any time of the day or night.

P: Parental Supervision Younger than 13 (Yellow)

Parental Supervision is recommended for those younger than 13 years old. This is because the minor might have questions about what they see, or in instances where the parent can intervene if they decide the content is not appropriate for their child under 13. P Content may only play between 3PM, and 6AM

R: Not intended for anyone under 17 (Red)

This content is not intended for anyone under the age of 17. Such content might be otherwise too mature for most if not all children. Extremely violent content might be R. R content can only be played on television during the hours of 10PM – 5AM.

U: Unrated (Black)

This content hasn’t rated yet by the NTSB, and therefore undefined in how appropriate it is to display. U content may only be played from the hours of 10PM – 5AM.
